Ebleskiver
Today was the Christmas celebration at PWOC (Protestant Women of the Chapel) here. Those who signed up for food were encouraged to bring something traditional from their Christmas traditions. One of the items someone brought looked very familiar and had a card accompanying it that said:

Norwegian [something] balls
Eat with brown sugar.They didn't look quite right either, so I had to try one just to see--minus the brown sugar. I'm pretty sure they were made with Bisquick, and I don't think they were fried in oil...at least they weren't as greasy as I'm used to. It was interesting.
