Penn Station (which is really directly below MSG) and Madison Square Garden (not taken when we first got there, btw--you'll notice the lack of cops).
New York City General Post Office. You can't really read it, but the words etched into the building at the top are, "NEITHER SNOW NOR RAIN NOR HEAT NOR GLOOM OF NIGHT STAYS THESE COURIERS FROM THE SWIFT COMPLETION OF THEIR APPOINTED ROUNDS." Pretty cool.
Our view from the crowd at Central Park South, looking down 7th Avenue while we waited for the cops to let us through.
A bus stop sign from where we ended up--it both tells approximately where we were and serves as a funny with its
"NO STANDING" proclamation. Would've been funnier if we could've
gotten some of the "standing" crowd in the shot, but then it wouldn't
have been readable.
This is our view of Carnegie Hall from where we were standing. Wish we
could've gotten a pic of the front, but we were probably being pushed along when
we could see that part.
Some of us--Ryan (another friend from high school), Mary, and I believe the
guy in the front right is Glen.
More of us--from left: Andie, Brandon (with the glasses), Glen behind his
head so you can't see him once again, Marcus, and the back of Uri's head.
Not sure what they're all looking at. :)
This may be my favorite, even though it's all blurry--actually, BECAUSE it's
all blurry. I'm digging the abstractivity of it. And the pretty
colors.
Okay, I took the full-size version of one of these, cropped it, and put a
red circle around The Ball. Yup, that's what we could see of it. Not
terribly big, is it?
This was taken on our walk home. You see all those lights up ahead of
us in the middle of the street? Those are all flashing lights from police
vehicles. Probably about twenty of them. It's too bad the picture
didn't come out better, because it looked really... flashy.
