ST. AUGUSTINE - Nov. 26, 2004. Get used to lighthouses.

A chilly morning on St. Augustine Beach, courtesy of Mr.
Mini-Tripod. Notice Josh trying to hold my hair down in the wind.

Parking lot at the St. Augustine Lighthouse. I don't know
how well it translates in a photo, but the overhanging
trees made for one wicked sweet first impression. Not
many parking lots will do that.

This would be the aforementioned lighthouse.

Ditto.

Standing at the bottom and looking up toward the top.

The first lighthouse I've ever climbed, and the view was
worth it (of course, so was just plain climbing a lighthouse).

From the top of the Castillo de San Marcos.

Ditto, but this time looking down on the inner courtyard.

A convent. No reason except I thought it was pretty.

A mistake. So, of course, I love it.

The Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse by Daytona Beach.
Didn't climb this one as it was closed by the time we got there.
