The pie shop
from "Ed." This means nothing to most of you.
Stuckeybowl. In case you couldn't tell.
More of the
thing that is Stuckeybowl.
Hennessy
Tavern. Supposedly some of "Ed's" bar scenes have been filmed
here. Now that I've been inside I think I'm going to have to go back and
watch all the episodes to see if that's true. Darn it.
Entering NYC
via the George Washington Bridge.
A sailboat
on the Hudson River as seen from a park on the Upper West Side.
Pretty
buildings. Ugly traffic.
The
only picture I managed to get of Central Park (which is on the right side of the
road).
The famous
St. Patrick's Cathedral.
Uber-tall
Midtown Manhattan buildings. I think we might be seeing part of the big
Rockefeller Center complex, here, but I'm not sure.
Rupert's
Hello Deli. I'm going to assume everyone knows what this is. If not,
it better not be because you watch Jay Leno. I will disown you.
I think
this is fairly self-explanantory. If not, it better not be because you
watch Jay Leno. I will disown you.
Just some
stuff. Letterman. Broadway. La Boheme. Stuff.
Radio City
Music Hall. Uh huh, uh huh.
It would have
been wrong to have not seen a poster for Tom's Broadway show after our
Stuckeyville pilgrimage earlier that morning. It would have been even
wronger to not take a picture of it.
This would be
what I call the "Ad City" part of Manhattan. One might also call
it "Sensory Overload."
The
"Ad Citiest" part of "Ad City," Times Square.
The
"best" view we got of the city after we came out the other side of the
Holland Tunnel. Pretty pathetic, I know. That's the Emp. St. Bldg.
on the right.
New
York City as seen from a great distance (Staten Island).
New
York City as seen from a lesser great distance. Or perhaps just with more
zoom on the camera. I had to make the pictures a quarter of their original
size so that dial-up folks could load them, so you can't see all that well, but
the Empire State Building is the pointy lit-up one in the middle, and the Statue
of Liberty is toward the left side between the two red lights on top of
buildings. Pretty pretty.
