The Commercial

It started as a dream.  Roxative founder and chief innovator Ryan Greenlaw, conceptual genius and technical specialist Andrew Vardeman, and musical score-person and cameraman Josh Prins had a vision to push Roxative beyond the bounds of simple theme songs into the wonderful, magical world of the visual arts.  They enlisted the help of local model and pilot Marc "Y" Scholten, who agreed to play the part of "Jed" in the short film.

In the short, Jed is influenced by the aura of Roxative to burst out of the Iowa State Memorial Union into the adjacent parking ramp.  He brushes past a non-union, unpaid, anonymous extra on his way out of the entryway.  At one point, we see a shot of half his face on the screen as the background flashes by (a concept later stolen by the makers of The Blair Witch Project).

See the Film.  Be the Film.
