While I will go back and change them if I later happen upon a better movie, for the most part the top ten lists from 1999 on up were created during the years the films were from (2000 top ten list was created in late 2000/early 2001 and such). But I am now starting to go backwards and create top ten lists for films before 1999. I will put up such a list for a year when all three of these requirements have been met:

• I have seen at least 25 films from that year.
• I have seen at least 10 films from that year that received either an A, an A-, or a high B+.
• I have seen at least five films from that year that received either an A or an A-.
