I don't really know why you'd be here. I mean, I know I'm the single most interesting person, but don't you people have lives? Really, it's quite sad.

It is finished

110 different beers. 5 months. ~10 pounds. Way too much money.

I was #3--twice. I was the third person of the night to finish my tour. But my favorite accomplishment (though I don't think we've confirmed it with the manager) was the reason I was announced as being special: I am only the third female to complete the tour at the Ames Old Chicago. I may not have been #1, but gosh darnit, I was in the top three!

Now I get to lose my beer belly, beginning with this weekend when we cart all the crap from my 3rd floor apartment to the storage unit, then make it squeaky clean. :-)

The most depressing news of the week/month/year

Some chick named Alyssa beat me to being the first female on the Hall of Foam at Old Chicago in Ames. I am two nights away from completion and last night the manager put more names up on the board, including an Alyssa who completed her tour on December 18. If only we'd started sooner...

Oh yeah...

So we have pictures, too.

So does Mandy.

And Helen has her own, plus some others from the Hester/Thomas family.

And you all know about Beth's.

And Paul has had some very sweet/mushy posts while he stays up all night keeping animals from croaking in ICU.

Maybe I'll have some more when I'm moved out of my apartment, Paul's off ICU (though then that means he's gone--poo.), and the CPC annual reports and newsletter are done. Of course, then there's thank yous to be written. So...maybe end of February. See you then! :-)

"A Musso Lussino 480!"

Tomorrow morning, Paul and I will get the best wedding present possible (aside from each other, of course).

No, not the $3000 Sony TV.

Not the riding lawn mower.

Not my toaster oven (which I did get--yay!! :-)).

Not even a fascist ice cream maker.

Tomorrow morning we meet with my landlady to finalize and put into writing the termination of the lease on my apartment. We weren't sure this day would ever come, but she's ignoring her jerk of a brother (this is an estate rental property, so she's not the only party involved, but he lives in Texas and the rest of the family either doesn't care or backs her up on being fair about it and not holding me to my full lease) and is going to settle for what I believe is a very reasonable offer for both sides.

And on a completely unrelated topic...working at this church has introduced me to something that I want to own at least four of: cow milk glasses. They're awesome and the student center here has something like two dozen of them and I wasn't sure I'd be able to find them anywhere because there is no manufacturer listed anywhere, nor have I really been able to find that information online, actually. All they say on the bottom is "CANADA" and I think that's part of their charm.
